Terms and Conditions

 

These terms and conditions shall apply to all transactions for tents and related accessories supplied by Blue Bohemian USA Limited (“Blue Bohemian”) These statements apply in addition to other material provided on the website. Please read them carefully before placing your order and print a copy for future reference. By placing an order with us or agreeing to delivery of one of our products, you are agreeing to accept these Terms and Conditions. Your order is considered accepted once the product is dispatched.

In these terms and conditions "you", "your", "yours" and "yourself" are references to any person ordering goods from Blue Bohemian , and “the company”, "we", "our" and "ours" are references to Blue Bohemian.

1. HOW TO BUY

You can buy online through our website which take payment by major credit cards or we can invoice you. Our payment facilities are secure. Once an order is placed and payment is clear we use UPS, FedEx or an LTL carrier service to dispatch from our warehouse. Once the item is in transit you cannot change your address, so please make sure details are correct! Please note that due to the expensive nature of our products we reserve the right to request identification and/or signature as proof of delivery for all Recipients and Purchasers. Please note that it is the buyers responsibility once the item is dispatched to track the item and make the carrier aware of any changes to delivery. Carriers will attempt to deliver twice. If the delivery fails the item will be sent back to our warehouse and additional charges may be incurred to resend. 
We do not accept PO Box addresses. All products are sent UPS/Fedex/Freight and a physical address must be used 

We do not take foreign credit cards. Please contact us for more information if you are purchasing with an international card or bank.



2. AVAILABILITY

All goods advertised for sale are subject to availability. Our website will normally ensure that the “out of stock” or “pre-order” sign goes up as soon as we sell out of individual products. In the rare event that we are unable to supply the goods shown as available on the website, perhaps due to an error in the warehouse stock count, we will contact you as soon as possible. Where for any reason, products ordered are not available, we may propose to provide you with similar products of similar quality and price. The choice is yours. If you do not wish to accept a substitute product, we will return any funds paid as soon as possible. If for any other reason we cannot accept your order, we will refund your payment as soon as possible.

3. SPECIFICATIONS

Occasionally product specifications from the manufacturer may change in a very minor way without prior notice. However, any significant changes will be notified on this website.

All colors, sizes, weights and measurements shown on the website are approximate but every effort is made to ensure that they are as close as possible to what is shown.

Some color fading can occur, particularly coloured  models of tents and accessories. Our tents have been treated to protect against UV but it also helps to apply canvas protector products for further protection over time.

4. CANCELLATIONS:

We like to accommodate everyone and understand things can happen, but cancellations affect our business too. Therefore cancellation of orders will be charged at 10% of the value of the order. Pre-order Details of delivery dates are clearly stated on the product page at the top so please be aware when making your purchase.

5. PRICING

All prices are shown in Unites States Dollars (US$). Prices may be changed from time to time without notice but all orders (including deposits) will be fulfilled at the price listed at the time the order is placed. Freight charges are extra. (See “Shipping” section.)

If you wish to order 3 or more tents, please contact us as there may be a discount available for multiple purchases, at Blue Bohemian’s discretion and subject to availability.



6. SHIPPING:

a. Unless otherwise stated, shipping costs by road from our warehouse will be charged in addition to the price of the products. Shipping costs will vary according to the delivery address, weight. and size of the products ordered, and the method of shipping preferred by the buyer. (We use standard delivery unless you ask for an urgent delivery for which there may be an extra charge.) We normally use Fedex or UPS. Other carriers used will generally be well known companies selected for cost and service quality. Carrier's charges are passed directly on to our customers (though we subsidize those charges to keep things affordable for our customers) 

b. Orders will normally be dispatched within 2-3 business days of being received and/or payment being cleared (unless the items are on pre-order which will be mentioned at the top of the product page). We will send you by email the estimated time of arrival (ETA) and tracking details from the carrier as soon as products are dispatched, but we cannot guarantee ETA or tracking details as the accuracy as these are in the hands of the carrier. Sometimes shipments are briefly delayed in transit despite best endeavors by all parties.

c. Your tent will arrive in two cartons (unless its an Air Tent or Shade structure in a single carton).  It is possible that these boxes may incur some damage in transit, we do not replace or repair this outer packaging (unless there is a defect to the product)

 

 
7. DAMAGE IN TRANSIT:

If you take delivery of a Blue Bohemian package and the contents have been damaged in transit or you do not receive what’s on your packing list, you should notify the carrier with your tracking details immediately. 

Please also notify us with photos of the packages contents and labelling. DO NOT throw boxes away until you are sure you have what you ordered. We cannot take any returns without boxes. If there is product damage, we will be happy to assess it and come up with a solution but we must be notified within 24 hours of the receiving date. Our boxes double reinforced boxes and we have never had any issues of product getting damaged, however we are not able to take any return on the basis of a damaged box. 

Our tents are large heavy items and we send them “signed for”. The recipient must therefore be on hand and take stock of items. If you have not signed for the item it can make any claims process very difficult, so please ensure all items are checked against the packing list when received and notify us and the carrier of any issues within 24 hours. We cannot make claims for any incorrect items sent past the 28 day claim period nor can we make claims for items missing in transit - you receive tracking it’s up to the recipient to track. 


9. Warranty, Replacements & Refunds

We stand by the quality of our tents and want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. All tents and components are covered by a limited one-year warranty from the date of delivery, against manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.

If your tent has a serious manufacturing fault, we offer a repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the nature of the issue — no hassle, no fine print.

To qualify:

a) You must report the issue within 30 days of receiving your tent for initial faults, or within the warranty period for latent defects.
b) The issue must relate to a clear manufacturing fault, such as structural failure, faulty stitching, or waterproofing failure on first use.
c) You will be asked to provide:
Photographs of the problem, The UPN (Unique Product Number) found on the underside of the fire safety label, The location where the tent was pitched and date teh damage occurred 

Faulty goods may need to be returned to us for inspection — at our cost.

If a part is missing from your initial shipment, please notify us at info@bluebohemian.com within 30 days and we’ll send the missing item or replace the full product as needed.

Important exclusions:

This warranty does not cover wear and tear, damage due to improper setup or use, or deterioration caused by long-term exposure, especially when stored while wet.
Tents used continuously for more than one month or left exposed to the elements without proper maintenance are not covered.
Modifications to the tent may void the warranty if they affect performance or safety.

10. REFUND OF DEPOSITS DUE TO DELAYS.

A full refund of a deposit will only be made if Blue Bohemian is not able to deliver an item within of the timescale quoted at the time of the order. If a factory shipment to our warehouse is delayed, we may ask you to accept a later delivery from us. If you do not agree to a later delivery, no problem, we will refund t in full.

11. Extreme Weather & Responsible Use Disclaimer

Our tents are exceptionally robust and have withstood harsh conditions in the field when properly anchored and maintained. Notably, during the 2019 Splore Festival in New Zealand, a cyclonic weather event struck the campgrounds. Our founder, Jessica Walsh, was present with a five-year-old tent that had been correctly pitched and guy-lined — and it remained standing while many other tents collapsed or were swept away.

 This real-world example speaks to the durability and engineering of our tents. However, we make the following important clarifications:

a) While our tents have withstood wind speeds up to 65 mph (approx. 105 km/h) in user-reported conditions, we do not claim certified cyclone or hurricane resistance.

b) Proper setup is essential: ensure your tent is pitched with high-quality stakes at a 45-degree angle in firm soil and guy lines are tensioned but not overtightened.

c) In cases of severe weather warnings, we strongly advise taking down your tent as a precaution. Your safety and the integrity of your equipment are paramount.

 Our tents are designed for resilience, but no fabric structure is invulnerable to extreme weather. Use good judgment and always follow local safety advisories.

Blue Bohemian cannot accept liability for injury, damage, or loss resulting from the use or misuse of our tents — including, but not limited to, adverse weather events (e.g. high winds, flooding, snow), falling trees, fire, wildlife intrusion, or other natural or man-made hazards, including acts of God.

It is the user’s responsibility to select a safe campsite, ensure the tent is properly pitched, and follow all setup instructions. Tents should not be left up in unsafe conditions unattended or in low-lying areas prone to flooding. As with all outdoor gear, proper care, maintenance, and judgment are essential for safe use

12. Durability & Long-Term Use Disclaimer

Our canvas tents are built to last and have been trusted by thousands of outdoor enthusiasts, businesses, and families for over a decade. While we often hear stories from customers using their tents for many years — and even tales of vintage canvas tents surviving since World War II — actual lifespan will depend heavily on use, care, and conditions.

Canvas is a very durable material, but it must be properly maintained to achieve best long-term performance. If used for seasonal camping trips, cared for correctly, and packed away clean and completely dry, your tent can deliver many years of reliable use.

Please note the following:

Our tents are not designed to be pitched long-term (i.e. continuously for more than one month). Extended exposure to the elements will naturally cause more rapid wear and tear. While some customers do leave their tents up for several months at a time, this constitutes excessive use and is not covered under our warranty.


We offer a one-year manufacturer’s warranty on materials and workmanship, as well as lifetime customer support to help you troubleshoot, maintain, and enjoy your tent for as long as possible.

13. Waterproofing & Tent Performance Disclaimer

Our tents are built for serious outdoor use and made from high-quality waterproof-treated canvas. However, as with all canvas products, re-waterproofing may be required over time, especially with extended use or exposure to extreme weather conditions.

When you first receive your tent, it may require a short weathering-in period. Like a new towel, the fibres need to swell and settle — this process naturally improves water resistance. Some minor water ingress during the first exposure to rain is normal and should resolve after one or two wettings.

To maintain optimal performance over the life of your tent, we recommend occasional retreatment with a canvas waterproofer such as Dry Guy or Dynaproof, particularly after long-term use, heavy rainfall, or cleaning.

While we proudly stand by the quality and weather resistance of our tents, please note:

Our warranty does not cover general wear and tear, or waterproofing failure resulting from prolonged use without maintenance.
We have never had a tent returned due to leaking, but ongoing care is essential to ensure continued performance.

14. STOVES AND COOKING

If appliances such as stoves, other cooking or heating devices or other appliances are operated within the tents, that is completely at the user’s own risk. Blue Bohemian cannot be held liable or responsible for any injury or damage caused by the operating of any fuel or electrical appliances within the tent or nearby. Please exercise care and if in doubt contact your local regulator for applicable fire rules and safety recommendations.

15. IF OUR PRODUCTS ARE USED BY MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC

If our products are used for hire to the public, for other commercial purposes, for hospitality or for any other purpose by a person who was not the buyer of the products and you find a fault which causes you to issue refunds to your own customers, or paying damages to other people due to injury or any other reason, Blue Bohemian will not be responsible for reimbursing those losses. Likewise, should you experience damage to reputation or loss of business through product fault or any other reason, Blue Bohemian shall not be held responsible for any costs incurred or profits lost. In certain circumstances, entirely at our discretion, we may offer to replace products or make a refund – the maximum amount refunded will not exceed the price paid by you. Blue Bohemian shall not accept responsibility for injuries caused through improper use of our products – it is your responsibility to pitch the tent correctly, check parts regularly, and check weather reports for the event you are attending. If our products are to be used by members of the public, you should have your own public liability insurance to cover all eventualities.

16. PRIVACY AND USE OF CUSTOMER INFORMATION

We will take all normal precautions to protect the privacy of any customer information we have. We will not supply any of your information to any person, other than warehouse and transport people who need it to complete your shipment, for any purpose unless we have your express permission. We do not sell customer information or give it to other people. A small number of our customers have agreed to allow their tents to be used for demonstration purposes, entirely at their discretion.

17. NATURE OF OUR AGREEMENT.

These terms and conditions shall constitute the entire agreement between the parties except as otherwise required by US law. No variation of these terms and conditions shall be valid unless it is in writing and signed by the parties concerned.



18. T’s and C’s BOX CHECK AND CHANGES TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

Terms and Conditions are ticked in the box before check out in our online store and acknowledged and agreed on if you are invoiced directly. This means you accept the t’s and c’s at the time of purchase. Tracking is sent when your order is ready at the stated time on the product page or email confirmation. All our items are sent tracked and need to be signed for. It is the buyers responsibility to make sure the recipient listed is the receiver. If multiple attempts are made then redelivery costs may occur.

Our T's and C's apply if you have purchased via Wire Transfer where we invoice you and also third party sales such as Amazon and ETSY

Due to the high costs of the items and risk of fraud it is the buyer responsibility to make sure the items are signed for at the stated delivery address by the stated recipient.

We may change these terms and conditions from time to time without notice. Any changes will apply only to products supplied after the change to our terms and conditions.
