Porch awning

I bought the porch awning so I wouldn’t have my tent fully closed up when it rains for hours. I was not able to see how well the awning works for this purpose. The shade aspect was nice, though.

I was confused about how to install the bottom of the gutter where it drains, but otherwise, set up was easy. I was also concerned about mold where the awning rests on the tent, but didn’t have issues.

A neat accessory for a neat tent.

I really like the ‘porch’ idea. It makes the doorway feel a bit more secure and farther away. I am quite tempted to get another for the other door! I think it will be really nice for rainy days to keep the wet out and dirt.
It wasn’t to hard to put up and it looks like it’s supposed to be there because it fits the tent so well.

Necessary Accesory

I bought a front porch for the tent. It's great - usually. In a major rainfall or like in the snowstorm we had, it tends to take on weight which I'm worried about. Even worse, it takes on its pool right up against the entrance to the tent. There is no way to lift larger pools without dumping the water right up agaisnt the door.

The front porch is a great size for 3-4 lawn chairs to fit snug together or two to fit comfortably. It is a great rain cover and I've been able to store plastic totes on the porch in the rain without issue.

Note, there are straps that go across the ground between the poles - if you have friends that aren't great with spacial awareness, a rug is necessary!

All that being said, I would buy it again and you should too. In fact, had my 16' Outback Delxue had attachments for the back door I would have bought it again!
